5 Tips To Finding Cheap Hotels In Genoa

By Gabriele La Gona

Genoa, locally pronounced as Genova is an Oceanside city located in Northern Italy " the most celebrated part of the Italian Riviera. In the past, the area was but a seaport and was a relatively unattractive tourist destination. But times have changed, and so has Genoa " thanks to its rich history, impressive architecture, collection of art and sculpture, and winding back streets, Genoa has undergone massive changes. Today, it is still the home to many fishermen and sailors but it also has high-end boutiques, several five star Genoa hotel, and restaurants specializing in gourmet that Italians are famous for. All these are responses to an increasing number of tourists who are drawn to the beauty of the lovely Riviera.

Known as the city with two faces, Genoa is both a center of commerce and medieval art. It is considered as one of the oldest cities in Italy and is the home to many tourist attractions including the Mercato Orientale, Genoa Aquarium, and museums. It is the hub for shopping and nightlife and most importantly, of the performing arts. Surely, a visit to hotels in Genoa is more that you can hope for!

Genoa is a wonderful place to visit but before you go, make sure to book your accommodation. With winter in northern Europe, many visitors are flocking to the seaside for a respite to the cold weather. As such, here are a couple of tips you can use in finding cheap hotels in Genoa.

1. Preparation is the key. Just like anything, a vacation requires a plan. In order to create an effective plan, make sure you read up on Genoas origins. This way, you will know which places you are going to visit and you can choose a Genoa hotel thats not too far from the tourist attractions you have in mind.

2. Organize your transportation. You need to know how you plan to reach the tourist destinations listed in your itinerary. Note that not because you pay lesser for a genoa hotel doesnt mean that its the best deal for you. Consider the long term costs " sometimes your transportation cost may add up and you will realize that you were better off choosing a $100 hotel room near a tourist spot than a $20 per night room which is so far out of the way.

3. Decide where you want to stay " in the city or the country side? In this city of vibrant culture, you have many options in both areas. if you want to book accommodation, you can contact the Genoa tourist board or do a search for sites offering bookings to different hotels in genoa.

4. Areas outside the main part of the city offer cheaper accommodation in the form of small hotels. Many of these Genoa hotel are equidistant from the seaport and the commercial part of the city.

5. Look for accommodations that offer breakfast such as those located near a sidewalk caf. This way, you can jumpstart your day with a dose of Italys famous coffee.

Contemporary Art Is SurelySomething To Be Experienced!..

By Anna Meenaghan

Nowadays art is available in a great many variations. I usually find them all very interesting and sometimes even mind blowing. At times you might not enjoy what you are seeing, but you would still be able to acknowledge the hard work that went into it.

As I am a contemporary artist, I only know too well how my emotions guide me on my various paintings. If perhaps, I had a hard day, it normally shows in my art. It can range from dramatic to tranquility.

I would say that art is something that is very personal. A work of art that one person loves may have the complete opposite reaction for another. Art is something that is very individual. Thankfully in our modern days there is a such a huge variety of art around that there surely has to be something for everyone. Take Graffiti for example. What one person calls vandalism is anothers work of art.

You only need to visit the Montmatre area of Paris to experience unconventional forms of art. Pavement artist sketching out their paintings in chalk or art students putting their easels out in the street to earn a little extra money by drawing caricatures. Neither yields a lot of money for the artists, but surely this is talent.

Other forms of art that are popular are sand sculptures which feature greatly here in the Canary Islands, and I am sure in other parts of the world as well. They take all kinds of forms, from biblical scenes to dragons that even have fire breathing out of their nostrils. And what about the old art of mosaics? Many of us see them every day or even have them in our gardens in form of plant pots, walls etc.

Posters - somebody has to design them so they are thought provoking and catch the eye. This is a great challenge for children too, who are encouraged to do posters for any number of things from road safety to recycling the environment. I love to see what sense can be made of driftwood collected along the beach. I think a special type of person is needed to do this with a very good imagination and creativity.

And here is a theme which you might even have on your desk at home. Paperweights, which can range from glass or simple pebbles which were collected, painted and then varnished. Not only is the paperweight very individual, but gathering the pebbles, feeling their textures in your hand, can also provide great fun.

Other things that are either getting very popular or making a strong resurgence are scrapbooking, felting, needlepoint and patch working. Or what about the great individual gift that are cards? Fantastic artists design and make their own cards in a great variety of ways. Getting enjoyment from creating their art and also from the knowledge that the recipient will greatly appreciate it.

I could go on to mention a great more forms of art, but surely there has to be something for everyone? And with the wonderful variety comes a great many workshops that are being run by local crafts stores or schools. The great joy art can bring to people can not be measured, be it by creating it or seeing it. And it also lets you make a whole bunch of new friends along the way. So what are you waiting for? Go on and get involved!...

Boat Evaluation for Buyers and Sellers

By John Howard

From the viewpoint of the seller of a boat or yacht, but just as well for other involved people such as buyers, brokers, and marine surveyors, finding out the monetary worth of a marine vessel is one of the most crucial but also one of the most harrowing aspects of marine life.

For the seller, pricing the boat well will make the difference between walking away with the right amount of funds to but an even bigger and more performing watercraft, or finding himself undersold and unable to retrieve its investment in full.

Even if you are buying, or trading in used boat for a new one, you should not let anyone fool you into believing that you should get anything but the best from the arrangement, and for this it is crucial that you manage appraise your boat correctly as a precursor to getting the best value out of it. .

For both boat buyers and sellers, it is a hard evaluation to make, especially because boat prices fluctuate a lot due to circumstances that are hard to understand, not only due to perceived value but also due to factors such as seasonality and location. It is easy to enter what looks like a great deal, only to later discover that you have been had.

Which is why boat evaluation cannot just be an afterthought or a given, but must be considered with care. First of all, the prospective buyer or seller needs to decide whether to go solo, or whether to hire a boat evaluation pro. Marine brokers can help to sort out the issue for you.

In fact, as there is a lot of information available on the subject for those who are willing to spend some time educating themselves, you can do this yourself if you prefer not to be dependent on someone else's opinion.

To become your own appraiser for boat values, you need to look at as many resources as possible - and there are plenty of books and websites on the subject. Your aim should be to come up with realistic minimum and maximum process for the kind of boat you want or are about to sell.

Online or paper trade magazines are a very popular source to compare the min-max values of your boat with comparable objects - check out classifieds, journals, various yards and boat traders. You will find plenty of listings with prices, and if you look at various ads over time (in different issues) you will get an idea of how fast objects are selling, that is if the asking price was right.

Your next stop should me your local marina's party or some other kind of social get-together, where you can find other boat owners that can brief you on the current state of the market.

New boat exhibitions are good to gauge current fashions. Fashionable items demand a better price, and you can increase the value of your marine transaction by finding out what features and accessories are currently over- or undervalued.

Mp3 Music Player: The Ultimate Convenience!

By Anne Ahira

Anytime an innovative technology comes on the sight , it is a safe guess that there will be bugs in the structure as well as mp3 music players are no exception. Knowing what several of the common obstacles are and what to do about them is cooperative before there is an issue.

Common Mp3 Music Player Problems

One issues will be precise to a certain brand or size mp3 music player, for the reason here; we will just observe issues general to all players.

Freezing is a common problem for an mp3 music player with digital display. The unit will freeze up and like your computer, the only thing to do is shut it down and hope the issue resolves on start up.

Can't load songs to mp3 music player.

Cannot upload photos or movies to your mp3 music player

Mp3 music player will not switch on or charge

Useless deletion of songs

PC does not be familiar with the device

Surprisingly you will encounter only about ten common problems with an mp3 music player. The good news is that most are related to software issues and not hardware.

Common Solutions

Is the operational system of your computer compatible? Check the product packaging for system requirements

Have you installed all the software that came with the mp3 music player? Manufacturers generally package the players with disc containing software and drivers; you may need to run the disc again.

Is the format of the music file compatible with your player? Some players will only recognize specific music file formats; again refer to the operating manual or packaging for requirements.

Reset your player, somewhere on your mp3 music player there will be a tiny hole noticeable as reset. Use a tiny pin or toothpick to trip the reset button.

Firmware upgrade, every once in a short time an item will get to market with bugs that demand a firmware upgrade. A fast search of the internet should suggestion you all the information needed to achieve this upgrade.

Other frequent troubles like cracked screens and water damage are hardware problems and will likely need that you trade your mp3 music player. At this time there are no companies that make replacement parts for mp3 music players. At present, it is more price effective to replace the unit than fix it.

This is an example of the most general matters and ways to repair them. If your mp3 music player has most recent issues or the above care do not work then you likely have a hardware failure and will have to exchange the mp3 music player.

Surprise Your Valentine With Flowers

By Joanne Michaels

Since it's almost Valentine's Day, it's time to start thinking about what you are going to send that special person in your life. Whether you're a male or female, let's take a look at some ideas about Valentines flowers.

Here's an interesting question: Do women send Valentines flowers? Yes they do! Women send masculine gifts like nuts and munchy things. Instead of sending a full bouquet of flowers, as a man normally sends, they might include a single rose in a little basket with nuts and chocolates and fudges. That has become highly popular, so most florists have spanned out in that direction.

What would you consider to be the most in-demand Valentines flower? The red rose is by far the most favored, because it's the symbol of love. Some people feel that if you wish to communicate deep love to your Valentine, a red rose is the only flower to send.

Instead of red, choose pink if you want to convey the feeling of desire. It communicates a soft, tender-hearted feeling, and is probably more fitting for someone that is a little more personal than just a casual friend. A pink rose will warm her heart and awaken that tender desire within her. If you want to send something to a casual friend, a yellow rose relates friendship. It's a warm, sweet gesture that sends a less passionate message than red.

Of course, roses are not the only type of flower that is given for Valentine's Day. Also very well-received are mixed vases. A florist can make up a beautiful arrangement with daisies, tulips, chrysanthemums, orchids, and other flowers. Just as long as it looks pleasing and communicates a romantic, loving sentiment. Lilies are another type of flower that are very popular, because they are remarkably scented and smell wonderful.

Even another idea would be to send a live plant instead of cut flowers. There are several to choose from, including little mini rose plants. What a beautiful way to express your love to your Valentine by sending a present that lasts!

What is the usual cost of Valentines flowers? You can figure around $15 as a starting cost, while the average price settles in around $40, which will buy a beautiful half dozen roses or a mixed vase. You need to figure delivery charges in addition to that. If money is a question, consider a cash and carry purchase. You can purchase a dozen roses for roughly $20 to $30, then add all kinds of fillers. There are lots of really romantic greens that you can use to make your arrangement look fantastic. Arrange them in an elegant vase, and it will look stunning. It's not going to be arranged like a professional does, but it will look gorgeous. It's a satisfactory way to go if you're on a strict budget.

Some people are more inclined to go all out on Valentine's Day, and buy the best they can find. This may have a price tag of $150 or more!

As with most other products, you typically get what you pay for. A live flower purchased from a local discount merchant will obviously cost less, but the quality of the flower will not be as high as one from a florist. The flowers will not be as healthy, and as a result, will not last as long. Paying a bit more for healthy flowers is well worth it.

What is the most loving thing you can do to express your love to that incredible Valentine in your life? Send flowers, of course! Surprise her (or him) with a superb bouquet of flowers!

Start the In Home Spa Treatment from Massage Chairs

By James Knolan

A day at the Day Spa is just a wonderful experience. There are so many treatments to choose from and you know you will be revitalized when you are done. The soothing relaxation and pampering is just what the doctor ordered. The day spa is always something I looked forward to doing, but I am just not finding the time to go as much. With the stress of the new economy upon us, we are all working harder to stay where we are at. Although, I do not make it to the day spa as much, I have found massage chairs to be a very convenient supplement for my massage therapy.

Just as science has advanced, so has the massage recliners produced today. Electronics companies like Panasonic produce massage chairs with tremendous capability. These chairs can massage you from your head to your toes. These massage therapies are very effective. Many of the technologies are designed at replicating hand movements. The Real Pro Ultra uses its Swede-Atsu technology to provide realistic feeling massages.

One of the biggest advantages of having a massage chair of your own is its accessibility. The convenience of having a massage at any time you want or need is fantastic. You do not have to go at a set time. You can take your time or just grab a quickie before work. You can do other things while you are getting a massage as well--for those that really can't relax!

Do you enjoy a foot reflexology massage at the day spa? It is wonderful to have your feet massaged to remove the aches and pains. Your feet are the gateway to full body relaxation. Massage chairs like the Omega Montage Premier Massage chair have a foot reflexology massage. The Montage Premier uses gentle or firm air pressure to squeeze, hold and release your feet. Also, there are reflexology nodes that stimulate your reflexology points on your feet helping your entire body to relax. Imagine coming home, taking off your shoes and getting a nice 15 minute reflexology foot massage after a long day.

What is one of the more relaxing elements of a day spa? We enter a dimly lit room with easy music at low volumes playing. The music is great to take your mind to other areas. Part of the experience of relaxing is letting go of our pressures and worries. Get the preoccupation with the latest problem or opportunity out of our mind for a little while goes a long way. The best massage chairs come with MP3 music players. They usually have a music stick where you can download your favorite music. Some massage recliners mimic their movements from the rhythm of the music. Turn down the light and turn up the music and let the relaxation begin.

I wish I could snap my fingers and my private massage therapists would appear. Until I figure out how to do that, massage chairs provide an effective and economic alternative. They certainly deliver a thorough and invigorating massage treatment. I can use it as much or as little as I like. I can pinpoint exactly where I need more treatment and I can keep it there to work out all the kinks. I put on the headphones, play some soft music and let my massage chair recliner take me to the heights of relaxation.

The Basic Methods of Concrete Polishing

By Mikkan Drane

Polished concrete is a generic term in floor styling that easily gives you pictures of a variety of decorative shiny concrete flooring possibilities. Instead of laying over the concrete slab another coating of some sort, say vinyl, tiles, or carpet, concrete polishing allows you to leave the concrete exposed as the final floor finish as itself. And that does not mean you will have that gray colored finish, nothing like that. In fact, you will have something that is so much more.

With the concrete polish floor styling option, you get to choose from a wide range of colors and finishes, matching exactly what you would want for your places' floor. It features an affordable make that is energy efficient, low maintenance and dust free. There are actually three popular methods that you can adopt in concrete polishing. These are steel trowelling, burnishing or honing.

A steel trowelled finish is a concrete polishing process that can be achieved by hand or with a power trowelling machine. Whichever you will use depends mostly on the area to be processed. Trowelling marks are one of the downsides on this option however, if advised, can be fixed and or avoided. It gives off the typical natural grey concrete look, but can be upgraded to a lighter color by incorporating an amount of off white cement.

Burnishing is an option that can be done right after the trowelling process. When the concrete floor has reached that polished glossy appearance, alternative burnishing materials like floor waxes, liquid polishes, and resin based coatings can be applied for the look you are after for.

The honing process, which is the third method in the concrete polishing list, is the toughest or better yet, the one with the most required depth in the process. Through honing, one is required to grind the concrete surface with abrasives. Besides the smooth surface that it produces, aggravates should start to appear at some point adding up to the end aesthetic result.

With a little bit of creativity and a know how in mixing up all the said processes, a delightful, appreciated concrete polished output will be achieved. Include in desired color combination and desired pattern to input and you'll have the polished concrete you can brag to your friends.

Wonderful UK Hampers For Your Girlfriend

By Hugh Roberts

UK hampers are gifts that are usually presented in a wicker basket. The act of giving a hamper has a long tradition in Western culture and, previously, was done as a giving act, using the hamper to present food and other home necessities to the deserving. The basket the hamper was presented in was also carefully chosen as it was a helpful household item that could be used and reused.

In later times, UK hampers have come to be less a gift of necessities and more a gift of little treats, such as wine hampers for example. An emphasis is placed on the finest products such as gourmet jams, quality chocolates, exotic coffee beans, expensive wines and other premium products that can be enjoyed as a treat and will store long enough for the recipient to relax when using the hamper.

There has also been a growing tendency to produce specialized hampers - wine hampers that are filled with a diverse range and types of wine, chocolate hampers and bread and cheese hampers. Hobby hampers are an even more new development and are filled not with food but with essential and wanted items to please gardeners or DIY enthusiasts, for example. The contents of a hamper are only limited by your imagination!

The adaptability of wine hampers is why it makes such a pleasing gift. They can be tailored to any special someone and can be filled with anything that would give pleasure to your special someone. When picking the hamper you want to give, give careful consideration to what goods your special someone wants - are they a wine lover? Then wine hampers are a great idea! Are they a gourmet? Then fill the hamper with premium food products. Are they expecting a baby? Why not give them a hamper filled with useful baby goods.

Wine hampers can be given for any reason - for birthdays, for hens nights or bachelorette parties, for weddings, for anniversaries, for an expecting mom-to-be and, most popularly, for Xmas.

The Christmas hamper has become big business and, in an intriguing twist, customers are buying Christmas UK hampers to use for themselves instead of as a gift for that special someone. Often filled with well-loved Christmas treats such as shortbread, chocolate, wine, Christmas pudding and even turkey, they are purchased by individuals to be used over the Xmas period. Many wine hampers are purchased on a payment scheme over the year and then enjoyed for the holiday season, helping people afford the price of the special Christmas treats wanted over the Christmas period.

There are thousands of companies that specialize in selling hamper gifts and most of them can be found quickly and easily online. Many of them will have pre-packed UK hampers - such as wine hampers or food hampers - and some may allow you to modify a hamper and pack it with items of your choice. Almost all companies will deliver your hamper, making it a convenient and personal gift.

Of course, you don't have to use a professional to create a wonderful hamper and it can be even more thoughtful to create your own. When putting together a hamper, give careful thought to what they might like. Use helpful items and luxury products that your special someone may not consider to purchase for themselves, to make it even more considerate. Hampers also work best when filled with items that won't spoil quickly, such as red wine for wine hampers. If you do intend on putting in items that have to be kept cool or won't last long, then make sure the hamper is sent as soon as possible and make sure your special someone knows that the products must be used as soon as possible.

Build Your Own DIY Solar Panel

By Steve Gibberton-roberts

There are many resources and guides available with detailed instructions on how to build solar panels. The first and most important step is to seek out quality detailed instructions. Then it is off to your local hardware store to find or order your supplies and next thing you know, or the next time you have some free time, you will be able to assemble and install the system yourself. Watch out though, the neighbors may start asking you to build solar panels for them too.

Not only is it going to save you money to build solar panels yourself, but you can feel proud that you are doing your part for the environment as well. Declaring your independence from fossil fuels and making a much-needed impact on the world and in your neighborhood.

A final decision needs to be made as to what kind of system you would like to use to supply your home solar electricity. There are generally three types of solar panel systems used to supply home solar electricity. The first type is a grid-tied system in which your solar panels are tied into your current power meter. You are using both electricity supplied by your panels and your supply is then backed by electricity from your electric company. The second available solar panel system for supplying home solar electricity is a grid-tie with battery backup. With this system you are collecting electricity from you panels, filling your batteries for emergencies and then the excess is sent back to the electric company through your meter. The final system is a stand-alone system. Very similar to the grid-tied system with battery backup except that you are completely disconnected or maybe never connected to a major utility provider for your area.

Solar energy panels have become more affordable in recent years making it a viable alternative energy option for savvy home owners looking for savings on their monthly utility bills and the environmentally conscious who also enjoy the financial advantage.

Shih Tzu Breeding: What You Need To Know

By Rebecca Simpson

When a lot of people think of breeding dogs, the first thought that seems to come into everyone's mind is that of money. There seems to be a lot of money that is being made by dog breeders, especially for those who are into Shih Tzu breeding.

And while this is a profitable business, it should not be the main reason that anyone is involved with breeding in order to make sure that the Shih Tzu care is not neglected.

Shih Tzu care is the most important part of getting your dogs ready to breed and there are many reasons for that. When breeders fail to be concerned or pay attention to the care and health of the Shih Tzu's they plan to breed, there is a hefty price to pay and the dogs and puppies themselves generally pay that price. When starting out, it is suggested that you breed only one pair at a time so that you can focus all of your attention on them to make sure it goes smoothly.

There are a lot of key factors that you must be well versed in before beginning on your journey of Shih Tzu breeding. It is important that you fully understand the different illnesses and problems that can come about with the Shih Tzu breed at any given time. This is not only in regards to the adult's dogs you are using for the breeding, but for the puppies that will be born to them.

If the adult dogs you intend to breed were just recently brought into your home, you may want to think about keeping them around long enough so that you really get to know them before beginning any breeding.

With the adult dogs, you need to know about the current health of your breeding pair along with any possible health conditions that they suffered in the past. It is extremely important that you begin your breeding with a healthy set of parents in hopes that this will better your chances at getting healthy puppies, although there is never a guarantee. If the adult Shih Tzus in your home are new to your family, consider not breeding them for about a year so you can better evaluate their temperament and health. Before beginning any breeding, make sure your local vet checks them out.

Know that you are ready to begin with Shih Tzu breeding; you want to create a safe environment for your dogs to breed and live during the entire process. It is generally best with this breed to keep them indoors and this is what you will find many other people who breed them doing. While under your care you must make sure that the adult dogs remain healthy by giving them proper diets and even possibly vitamins that your vet may suggest.

And one the most important things to do is to make sure your adult dogs are getting proper nutrition during the entire process, just like a human female would have to do during her pregnancy. Even though you are always cautious of the dogs diet, you want to be extra careful during this time, as it is vital to her recovery and the health of her pups. Talk with your vet about what special diets or even maybe vitamins that you would want your female to take.

How To Clean Upholstery Without Causing Damage

By Chris Channing

The upholstery one owns usually isn't the target of a cleaning regimen- but sometimes even furniture gets dirty enough that a real solution must be found to clean it. From your average dust to annoying stains or spills, there are vastly different solutions to take depending on the upholstery type and the type of stain in question.

When an accident happens, the first thing an owner does is usually worry or fret. This is what usually leads to a mistake in cleaning the upholstery, since there are specific things an owner should and shouldn't do in trying to clean upholstery. The first thing to do is calm down, and make a note of the damage and research the best way to circumvent it. If necessary, an upholstery cleaning business may also be called.

While a little dust or dirt here and there is easy to clean off, stains from other sources can be another story entirely. Case in point is with pizza sauce or grape juice- two common enemies to anyone's upholstery. Grape juice itself tends to get deep down into cloth upholstery, and tends to stain the surface of leather. Depending on what the material is, the solution to cleaning the upholstery is entirely different- making need for a professional fairly vital.

Care should be taken in keeping the upholstery as dry as possible. This means starting up a fan, opening windows, and turning on the dehumidifier. In most cases, cleaning solutions or even water can cause damage or mold if it is left too long on upholstery. Be careful not to administer too much cleaning solution in the process to make it easier.

In some instances, upholstery may have be meticulously replaced in order to get the problem area clean. Some types of stains, such as paint on leather, are near impossible to get off without causing damage to the leather. This may require a complete replacement or a target "patch" to clear tigns up. In that case, an upholstering cleaning business should be contacted for further information on how to get the problem fixed.

If ever in doubt, consumers should remember that there are upholstery cleaning businesses in most areas, which have trained professionals that know exactly what to do in every scenario. Sometimes it is better to pay for a little help rather than ruin an expensive piece of furniture. This is why damage assessment should always be the first step, as the more care intensive jobs carry higher risks of ruining one's furniture.

Final Thoughts

The process of cleaning upholstery is almost an art form- with the right tools and knowledge needed to get the job done correctly and without inflicting further damage. Consult the Internet and local resources for leads on how to get into touch with a local upholsterly cleaning service. It never hurts to get a quote over the phone, and second opinions are well worth the time spent.

Lake George NY, A Great Place

By LJ James

As a Biker I love to take long Rides on my 2007 Harley Davidson, Nightrain. Some times a trip to Connecticut where one has the freedom of choice to decided if they want to wear a Helmet or not is a great place to go. Often I head up to the NY Catskill Mountains, Where a Burger and a Beer at Nicks Waterfall House in West Conesville can be the perfect end to a day of Cruising threw the Mountains.

Then there is another of my Favorite places to ride to, The Lake George NY area. My Uncle has a small Cabin in the Mountains right outside of the town of Lake George where I often stay. The area has some great long and winding roads for riding, These roads will relax even the most stressed Motorcycle rider.

There is so much history to the Lake George NY area. While on a trip one year riding around with no real destination in mind, I found myself in front of Fort Ticonderoga (fort-ticonderoga.org). Being very interested in American History I had to stop in and take the tour. The Fort was built between 1755 and 1759 and has plenty of stories to tell. It had a big roll in the American Revolution. As I walked around the Fort the I could almost imagine I had traveled back to the 18Th Century, The things I learned reminded me of the sacrifices our fore Fathers made to secure the Freedoms we enjoy and let slip threw our fingers every day.

Another thing I like to do is ride on some of the less traveled roads. Riding on a road where you see nothing but Forests and small Waterfalls for miles is very relaxing. I like to search out small little Dinners and eatery's, Stopping at them and trying some of the foods they have to offer.

I recently met up with my Mother, Sister, Brother, Nieces, Nephew and other members of my family at the Lake George Escape Evergreen Resort Campgrounds (LakeGeorgeEscape.com), I found it a great places for me to relax for a few days. There where plenty of activities for the kids and many activities I could enjoy with the kids. In the resorts game room I won my Nieces and Nephew many prizes and I played (or maybe Battled is a more accurate word) Air Hockey with my younger Brother in the game room for hours. The resort has a pond and two pools to Swim in. Each week at the resort during the Summer has a thyme and while we where there it was Halloween week. The Camp Grounds has Nightly Hay rides around the Camp Grounds and since it was Halloween week my Brother came up with the idea of throwing out candy to all the kids as we took a Hay ride around the grounds one night. The Cherry on the top of this great resort has to be the on Grounds full service Tiki style Bar where most Nights they had a DJ to help keep the party going!

Many other things I have stopped to enjoy while riding around and staying in the Lake George area is White Water rafting, Hiking and many Trips to Six Flags Great Escape & Splash Water Kingdom. The park was known as Storytown USA when it first opened in 1954. As a Kid I used to love to watch the gun fights in its old western area known as Ghost town. The park may be much larger now and have many modern day Rides and attractions, but all the old Story town, Jungleland and Ghost town areas from the 50's and 60s are still there! Then of course there is the town of Lake George it self with many great stores for shopping including a new shop I found last year called DILLIGAF's. Many Arcades, Museum's, Para Sailing, Night Clubs and Many Places to eat including some Waterfront Restaurants. Now in my opinion no trip to Lake George can be Complete without a Paddle wheel Cruise on the historic and scenic Lake George itself. The lake is known as the Queen of American Lakes. There are Two maybe three Companies you can use, But I recommend you take your trip on the Lake George Steamboat Company's (lakegeorgesteamboat.com) Minnie-Ha-Ha. I have Pictures of me getting on this Boat with my Family that go back many years.

As Bikers We are always looking for Great places to ride to alone or with our friends and family that offer both great riding areas and many things to do. I have found Lake George to be a great area for both!

Maybe I will see you there! Your Bro L.J. James AmericanBikerX.com Listen to LJs Radio Show at BikerLowDown.com

Keeping Track Of Your Heart Rate Is Very Important

By Colon Bolden

I personally don't understand why people dont keep track of their heart rate. Do they know its very important and so I had to find out well why not? I did a short survey for myself and walked up and ask 10 people off the street do they keep track of their heart rate? Atleast 8 out of 10 people responded with the answer no. I also asked them why not and some responses were "I really don't know"; "Just dont think about it"; "I do when I have a doctor's appointment". One guy told me, "I didn't know I had one", but he was joking and I told him, "I already know the answer to that question". The fact is people just don't worry about their heart rate.

By you reading this write-up today now ask yourself, "Do I keep track of my heart rate"? If not you can start right now. Get yourself a monitor or you can do it yourself. Much has been made of reaching a particular heart rate especially during execises, a rate that avoids too much stress on the heart and yet provides the desired result. Even doctors dont play around when you visit their office. The first thing they do is check your heart rate before they see you.

Cardiologists which is known as Heart Specialists often suggest that a desirable exercise heart rate is 220 minus your age times 75%. It can definately be difficult to count your pulse but you can check it by counting the pulse in your wrist for 15 seconds and then multiplying by 4.

You may wish to count your resting pulse, perhaps in bed in the morning before you get up. By checking this pulse and that's if you don't have a heart problem and aren't taking a medication is a resting heart rate of about 60 beats per minute. An individual who isn't fit will typically have a resting heart rate of 75 or so.

There are no good medical data to justify particular target heart rates. You may wish to check your pulse rate a few times just to get a feel for what is happening. You should really check your heart rate more offen just to make sure your numbers are basically close to being the same.

In conclusion, if you're exercising and hopefully it's not all out because if you can't talk to a companion while you're exercising, you're working your heart rate too hard.

A Special Flower Delivery To Austin

By Justina Scotland

There are various flower vases to choose from that can add aesthetics to your flower arrangement. Flower delivery to Austin, Texas can be much more fun with these different choices in containers that a florist can creatively work with. With all the selections available to suit different flower arrangement tastes, there is definitely a fitting choice for everyone.

Teapot containers are a popular item that is used with some florists. The reason why many people like them is that after the flowers are gone, the teapot can still be used. Some teapots that are used as flower containers when you ask for flower delivery to Austin are able to be used as actual teapots.

Another type of urn for a flower arrangement is vases. Not only do vases have many styles and designs to feast on such as glass vases to crystal ones, they are also ideal for a bouquet type of flower display. Similar to teapots, vases are functional items that go beyond their flower arrangement duty.

When considering a flower delivery to Austin, Texas, an additional option is ceramic containers that are the most flexible in terms of color and design. It's not surprising therefore that this is also a popular choice for flower arrangement. Ceramic flower holders can either be painted or in a solid color. When painted, ceramics can suit anyone's creativity as they can easily match any kind of design. This sure is fun especially if you wish to reflect your recipient's bubbly, adventurous or romantic personality on the ceramic container of your choice.

There are so many different containers from which to choose when you are seeking flower delivery to Austin, Texas. You can choose from these described above or from others that are featured online. Some containers will be specialty items such as those for new babies. Others are just ordinary containers that can be stored for use later on by the recipient.

Shopping for flowers online is just as easy with the varieties online. Matching the flowers to their containers may seem a strenuous task, but believe me, with all that is offered in the market, choosing the best flowers, a tasteful flower container and the most impressive arrangement for your loved ones will never have to be stressful when you choose an Austin, Texas flower delivery.

Clay Cooking for Healthier Meals

By Jana Banks

We recently ate at a friend's home and enjoyed a juicy roast along with fresh steamed broccoli with cheese followed with a surprisingly delicious baked apple with caramel topping for dessert. I was helping her clean up after dinner and saw that she had prepared everything in her clay cookware. This was new to me since I'm used to the standard pots and pans I grew up with - namely made of aluminum, stainless steel, ceramic bakeware, or copper. But it turns out that clay cooking is quite popular around the world, including here in the U.S. My friend raves about her clay pots and thinks everyone should own at least a piece or two in their kitchenware collection.

People have actually cooked in clay for thousands of year, back to when beef or poultry was packed in mud and placed into a fire's embers. While the clay dried in the fire, the meat was cooking inside. When finished, they would then break the clay open to enjoy the delicious, juicy meal that had cooked inside.

The reason cooking in clay is considered a healthy alternative to many cooking methods is that the dishes do not require any additives such as fats and oils to produce tender results. To begin, the clay pot must be soaked in water for approximately fifteen to twenty minutes prior each use. The porous clay pot absorbs this moisture which delivers tastier, moister and tender results. It's important to note that once you place the ingredients inside the clay pot, the pot should be put into a cold oven prior to setting the temperature, usually at about 400 to 450 degrees.

There are many wonderful recipes that have been adapted specifically for clay pot cooking. One such recipe called Beggar's Chicken. Made with chicken drumsticks, you add a variety of spices and including garlic, ginger and pepper as well as small amounts of flavorings from soy sauce and sherry. This is a very tasty and satisfying dish you can serve with side dishes such as risotto or rice pilaf and your family's favorite fresh veggie.

You can also use clay cookware as a stockpot or slow cooker, perfect for making anything from casseroles to soup. Our family loves my homemade chicken noodle soup, so that's something that I'm going to use my clay pot for next. I'd also like to try to make a good beef noodle casserole or some au gratin potatoes in the pot to see how good it tastes when it's cooked slowly to perfection.

Not only is clay cookware functional, but it's very attractive and perfectly useful as serveware too. Romertopf is a company that produces a popular clay cookware line that offers a great variety of pots in different sizes and styles. You'll find apple and banana bakers, fish roasters, maxi bakers for a big Thanksgiving turkey, garlic bakers, and much more. Next time you're ready to buy some new cookware for your home, take a look at some of the great clay cookware available and treat yourself to a piece or two - you'll be glad you did.

Health And Well-Being Plan For 2009

By Colon Bolden

Okay folks it's a brand new year and you definately can do much more than any doctor to maintain your health and well-being. But you must have that mindset and get into the habit of health by starting a health plan.

At the age of 50, individuals with good health habits can be physically 30 years younger than those with poor health habits. In other words, at age 50 you can feel as if you're 65 years old or 35 years old. It's up to you to make it happen. If you make it happen, you'll feel better and accomplish more in the long run of life if you develop the habit of health.

The major health problems in the United States are chronic, long-term illness in middle age and later, trauma at young ages. These illnesses include heart disease, cancer, emphysema, and liver cirrhosis, and cause nearly 90% of all deaths. They also account for about 90% of all sickness in the United States.

Two-thirds of these cases of illnesses can be prevented. The illness and pain associated with disease, as well as the deaths can be greatly reduced by a good plan for health which should be done at all times in the first place.

Here are a few examples what a good health plan can do for you. Lets say only two years after our last cigarette you return to the normal risk level for heart attacks. Lets say after 10 years you're back to nearly normal risk level for lung cancer. Lets say in only a few weeks, exercise programs begin to contribute to your outstanding health and well-being.

As I might add, for most chronic diseases, not only can you show the rate of progression, but you can also reverse part of the damage.

As a bonus, your plan for good health and getting into a habit of health can prevent many nagging nonfatal health problems such as hernias, back pain, varicose veins, and osteoporosis.

To sum this article up and I hope you're getting what I'm trying to say, by developing the habit of health, you can reduce the amount of illness you'll have in your life. You will feel so much better and have so much energy because good health has its own rewards.
